are you a mother looking for signs of His presence?
speak His Word over your situation (could it be one you see in bold below?),
…and He will meet you here. Let us pray:
Veni Sancte Spiritus, Veni per Mariam
Lord God, your Word says that you see all things and that You are just. I’m in need of your touch right now, Lord, and I ask for a sign of your presence here. I am feeling and experiencing signs and symptoms of sin and oppression around me and in me, when I desire freedom and peace. You, Lord, are the God of peace. By your Holy Spirit, reveal to me what I must do to find your Peace in my life and in my family. Amen.
My peace is more important than my children’s right now.
And Jesus took a child and placed it by His side and said to them: “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives the One who sent me, for the one who is least among you is greatest. – Luke 9:48
I am afraid if I do this I will disappear!
For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light. – Luke 8:17
This is unjust! It’s not fair!
If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must take up His cross daily, deny himself and follow Me. Whoever wishes to save His life will lose it, and whoever loses His life for My sake will save it. – Luke 9:23
I know you are asking this of me, but I don’t want to give this up, Lord.
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me… in vain do they worship me. – Matthew 15:8-9
If I don’t tell you this, I’m going to explode.
Where words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. – Proverbs 10:19
If I don’t complain about this, you will never know how I feel.
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach him all things and will remind him of everything I have said to you. – John 14:26
But I want to complain anyways!
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who would listen.
– Ephesians 4:29
I am afraid!
God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of a sound mind. -2 Timothy 1:7
My kids are driving me nuts! I deserve a break!
And He said: “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going and they did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted boat by themselves. But the multitudes saw them go, and they came. And Jesus was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So He began to teach them. His disciples said: “it is late! Send them away.” But Jesus said: “You give them something to eat.” – Mark 6:31-37
I want to be mean right back to him right now.
The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so abandon the quarrel before it breaks out. –Proverbs 17:14
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
I have a right to this bad attitude.
Rejoice always! Pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I am so angry! This is unjust.
The Spirit of a man upholdeth his infirmity, but a spirit that is easily angered, who can bear? -Proverbs 18:14
Better is a dry morsel with joy, than a house full of victims with strife.
– Proverbs 17:1
We should stop striving for holiness. Obviously it isn’t doing anything for us.
But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, for it is written: be holy, for I am holy. – 1 Peter 1:15-16
Lord, I know what I’m supposed to do here, but it is too hard.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul like a child quieted at its mother’s breast, like a child that is quieted is my soul. Psalm 131:2
(more to come….)
i love your presence, Lord!
