Now Debbie has moved into her new residence at Our Lady of Peace. She said the ride there was peaceful. She said when she arrived, it felt like home. We are so happy for her that she feels this way. We also experienced the peace there, even at the moment of arriving in the parking lot We gave Debbie the scrapbook we made for her and she loves it. She wants more added to it I am sure. She is still able to get up and move around, she is tired of course.
Sometimes when certain people enter your life, there is uncertainty that comes with it. Sometimes we do not always receive those with joy because we do not understand God’s plan for us. We may actually end up needing those souls for one reason or another. At first when I entered into marriage with my husband, I was met with resistance because of the family’s past pain and loss of Tisha. I decided a while back that I would just approach this situation and those involved with love. Because healing can take place, and it will take time and patience. I am seriously trying to do whatever I can to help lead Debbie to Jesus, along the journey…He can welcome her with loving arms and mercy. It is God’s will that we love and do what ever we can for the life of another especially the suffering. WE are here to serve, because we are all God’s people.
Please remember that when people are at the stage in life that they cannot speak or respond, keep in mind that doesn’t mean they cannot hear. So take the time speak to them anyways, visit often and pray. If they can respond, and they ask you for something special, then do it promptly and give the soul what they desire while they can speak. If they want you to buy them something special, find it for them because they have intentions for it to be passed down. This is an act of charity, and mercy, in no way to feed pride or ego for oneself. It is placing others before your own needs.
So back to Our Lady of Peace home, truly is peaceful and delivers such beautiful peace. I cannot describe the peace we felt there. This is a wonderful place for Debbie to be, she is surrounded with everything she needs. Our Lady of Peace pray for us.
