The Painting on the Wall

In our adoration chapel there are some wonderful works of art going on.  There are two stained glass cathedral arch windows.  When the sun comes around to the window later in the day, the colors of the window shine above the Blessed Sacrament.  The interesting thing is, God is using this sunlight in the window to create the most Heavenly promises visually portrayed on to the wall.  At first I thought it resembled Our Blessed Mother overshadowing the Host in the Monstrance.  However, the other day my husband pointed out what he saw, and then I also saw the same things.  It was the Sacred Heart in red, with rays of red streaming from it, along with white rays of light.  Above the Host was the the Holy Spirit Dove with it’s wings spread out in the scene.  This was entirely the work of the Lord, for the windows could not possibly place these images on the wall.  It was so perfect and beautiful…

The other spectacular sight is some sort of glittery particles floating around the monstrance, the Glory of God whirling around the Host.  I asked my husband if he saw that as well.  A few minutes later he said he saw it also.

Such great awe and wonder, it truly gave me peace.  Knowing that such beauty does exist and that we desire to be there someday.  Heaven is timeless and so beautiful!  It brings great hope and joy to my heart knowing that in these times of darkness on earth, the promises of Christ are present in our midst with the pouring out of graces upon us.

Family Prayer

Family prayer : “Those who pray together, stay together.”

Sometimes in our hectic lives, we put the kids to bed without saying prayers because it was too late and they needed to hurry up and go to bed.  This is where disobedience and chaos slips in…the kids become unruly and naughty trying to gain more negative attention than good.  It attaches itself to the children and they become disrespectful towards siblings more and more as well as parents.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to pray with them each night before bed.  I notice an improvement each time we fall and have to pick up where we left off.  I guess what is important with this message, is that God allows us to realize this and get back on track for peace in the family!  What a merciful God we have!  Even if you just say at least one Hail Mary and ask for the Blessed Mother’s intercession it will help their behavior.

A letter to all Mom’s for Mother’s Day

Dear Mom,

Thank you for bringing me into this world.  Even though we live in a culture of death persuaded by evil to end an innocent life, you chose to love me and bring me into this world so that I can make a difference.  Even if the decision was difficult, you loved me so much that you wanted to hold me in your arms for the first time and kiss my little forehead.  To hold my tiny hand and fingers in your hand, snuggling me close to your heart.

Thank you for making the sacrifices for me so that I can grow into a mature individual, and to be all that I can be with my talents and skills.  So that I can use my talents and skills to make a difference in this world, because they are unique to me.

Thank you for not being selfish, and carrying out God’s desire for my existence.  So that I may learn to carry out God’s will and serve His purpose for me in the world and for others.

Thank you for clothing me, feeding me, and giving me love.  For wiping my tears away, listening to me, bandaging my wounds, letting me do things to gain my own experiences, and setting me in the right direction when I am wrong.

Thank you for encouraging me to do my best no matter what others think of me.

Thank you for not giving into my every whim to satisfy instant gratification of material things.

Thank you for teaching me that money does not grow on trees, just fruit…

Thank you for not expecting certain things in return for what you have done for me.  You freely gave those things up or away for my behalf.

Thank you for being charitable towards others so that they may learn to be as compassionate as you are, and someday in return be charitable in compassion towards others.

Thank you for speaking out for what is right, teaching me right from wrong, that I may make good decisions throughout my life.  Thank you for this so I can pass these values on to my children someday.

Thank you for planting seeds and watching them grow into a beautiful flower that makes Heaven rejoice and angels sing.

Thank you for holding my hand, hugging me daily, telling me you love me.  Because I appreciate you and everything you have done for me.

Thank you for teaching me to take care of my elders and respect them and care for them in old age.

Thank you for teaching me to be kind to others even if they do not know how to be kind.

Thank you for giving up the things you may have wanted in life so that I could be here and become the best person I can be.

Thank you for praying for my needs and so that I stay on God’s path, or find it if I am lost.

Down’s Syndrome

Approximately 90% of Down’s Syndrome baby’s lives end in abortion these days.  We live in a culture of too many choices, and abortion of these little blessings happens most of the time.  People with Down’s Syndrome have an innocence that makes their families love more, and become closer to God.  God meant for them to be here with us, not be destroyed when diagnosed. They too have a purpose to serve, and this is a culture of death that we live in.  The persuasion to end the life is so selfish…”if it is not what we expected, then there is no quality of life, it’s not fair to make them live this way.”  No one “made” them live life this way, God had a purpose for that person to bring love into this world.  Down’s people notice the simple things in life that we go on ignoring; going about our busy days not noticing the sweet simple things that God has given to us to enjoy.

When I was pregnant with all of my children, the doctors prompted me for these tests and I refused each time.  I thought, whatever my baby is like I will accept them, I did not want a test and then be persuaded to end the pregnancy because that is what happens most of the time.  I felt initially that this test was not good for the most part.  What is the difference either way I have to care for a new life, and if the baby did have Down’s I would adjust after birth.  And FYI; the persuasion for this testing I think was subtle yet it gets into the mind in a certain way “Are you sure…are you sure…are you sure…?”  “You could just have the test, it wouldn’t hurt anything.”  In fact you almost feel guilty saying no to the test.  Well maybe it could also cause problems with the pregnacy if done incorrectly…

How many people change their mind when they find out they do have a baby with Down’s?  The answer is about 90%, because now the joy is  saddened “How will we ever deal with this?”  Let me reiterate the pressure is subtle, but has a beginning and an end.

Any abortion is a smooth talking devil moving in on a painful situation.  Encouragement that this “solution”  will make it all better so it the individual will no longer be in the situation anymore.  Not elaborating on the aftermath and psychological problems, the emotional trauma that goes on after the abortion.

If you go forward with the testing, be prepared to be strong if the results were not what you expected and prepare to accept and embrace this, because these people truly are full of love, and will bring you happiness.   Embrace the life God has given to you to take care and grow in love and to serve God in this way will please Him.

I was inspired to write about this topic when I was listening to the Sheila L. Show on Relevant radio on the way home from work.  The guest on the show has this link to her (Leticia Velasquez)webpage….http://keepinfantswithdownsyndrome.blogspot.com/.

The excitement of First Communion

My youngest daughter is receiving her First Communion in a couple of weeks.  She is truly looking forward to receiving Jesus this way for the first time.  Today after practice at church we went shopping for her dress.  Things have been somewhat picked over by now, but after JC Penney, Macy’s and Sears we went back to JC Penney and bought the first one she liked.  There were not many veils there only one kind and so I will need to find one online and go that route.

Today I was told that the dress must have “Spin Factor”, each one she tried on she had “spin” in it to make sure it flows as lovely as she would like it to.  It cannot be to fluffy or poofy, and needs to lie a little flat.  She made me dizzy with all that spinning in front of the mirror…as she laughed and giggled.

Most importantly she wants to be closer to Jesus.  She tells me she loves Him, and I know she does.  For a young child to say this means that the work Jesus is doing within the child is certainly growing!

Pepsi changes the game

Children of God for Life has removed the boycott on Pepsi products.  Stakeholders and investors and pressured the company to stop using HEK293 cells for testing flavor enhancers. Human Embryonic Cells experiment #293, is used from aborted infant victims.

Thus far Campbell’s Soup pulled out of the testing a while back.

There are still other companies using this unmoral method including Kraft, Nestle, and Solae are still using Senomyx’s services.

A victory for life!

Check out the Children of God for Life report here: http://www.cogforlife.org/pepsiboycottnews.htm

Keep working on the rest of these Brands for the same hopes and prayers that they will too end this immoral act of evil.

The Holy Souls in Purgatory

There is a museum for the Holy Souls in Purgatory in Italy where relics can be viewed of souls that were allowed to prove their existence there.  Piccolo Museo Del Purgatorio…is located in Roma Italy.

The souls have typically come back asking for prayers so they can be released.  They leave the proof of their existence on objects and clothing that are left with burnt hand print marks.  These articles can be seen at the museum.

To read about the different encounters, you can go to this link to read the history in regards to each recorded incident.

Proposed Kansas Rule Violates Religious Freedom

I was looking for updates on the HHS mandate at Catholic News Agency’s website when I discovered this article that directly violates Catholic teaching on a whole new level.  A proposed ordinance in Hutchinson Kansas wants to force the Church to marry same-sex couples!  Please read the article and stay up to date on what is going on in this country.  The Catholic Faith is being attacked from multiple directions, and we need to fight for our freedom before there is none to be found!  The only rights that will remain existing is to kill one another and defile the human race.  It is the work of the devil!

The Divine Mercy Chaplet for the Dying

Tonight we have been made aware of my husband’s cousin’s condition.  She has had many bouts of cancer, and now she is in her final stages of life in her 40′s.  When you know that someone is dying what a blessing it will be for them if you take just 10-15 minutes to pray The Divine Mercy Chaplet that person.  To know that you helping them in their grave suffering for the light of God to envelope them.  When people are dying there can be great temptations for them in the final hours besides the pain they are feeling.  Just imagine Jesus and Mary being in the light and calling that soul to peacefulness.  Jesus said that anyone who the prayer is said for; the dying, that he will be their merciful savior and great graces will be given.  We are teaching these prayers to our children, so they prayed it with us this evening.  Even though a bit lengthy for them, they did not fuss and offered this up as well.

Don’t forget that we can ask the saints to pray for them as well.  Remember that the saints never cease praying, for there is no longer time in Heaven and they do not tire.

1400 Lutherans, Christians in PA, and a Politician

It looks like many Christians are beginning to step-up to plate and back the Catholic Bishops in the fight against the HHS mandate which jeopardizes the freedom of religion.  This is not about contraception, it is about liberty! Obama has made comments stating he is accommodating the religious in previous statements in the HHS mandate.  He changed nothing, it was a lie for the mainstream media; and continues to chip away at the constitution and our freedoms.  He has an agenda like no other president has in the past.  So many things are changing before we even have a chance to say “Wait a minute, what are you doing?  You can’t do that!” (But yet it has been done regardless.) The year waiting period is only in place because of the election year.  If he should win again, we as a nation will be losing more than our religious freedom and freedom of speech.  Christians will undergo severe persecution.  Please take some time to read about the articles I found on Life Site News listed below.  These are good things, and more need to step up and make a stance.  We need to fight the good fight for everyone, because the agenda contains evil of many seductive faces to deceive and alter truth itself…
