It is one of those early morning wakings – Holy Spirit screaming quietly for me to get up and put this flood of ideas on paper before I forget a thing.

Where to begin ?:

God has turned on a fire hose of grace upon the Earth and all over the world a “few” are joyfully dancing around in the shower. But the majority are trying to get out of the spray/way and avoid getting “wet”. Among that majority there is one group who are glad to see the joyful few (“I’m happy for them. – They’ll have to come down to reality after a while.”).

But another group has a less favorable view. They are the ones with a “greater grasp of reality”. They have the “courage” to stand above the crowd and not be subject to the old fashioned outdated superstitious ideas being “forced” on humanity by the Pope and those who are not up to date with the world situation – overpopulation, global warming, freedom to live individual life styles, etc.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta:

I’m “sure” I know what it was like for her after her “experience” on the train, when she encountered that dying, dirty, foul smelling, and maggot covered man on the street. It was not “Oh, here is a good place to begin. I’ll just pick him up, clean him up a little and everything will be nice.”

The woman had just left a nice clean Catholic girl’s school! “Maybe that thing on the train will become clearer in a while. In the meantime, maybe I can tell the authorities about this poor man and they can help him. I don’t want to catch some sickness before I’ve even begun my work here…etc.”

No, there was a “trembling trust” which had been placed in her – a trust which enabled her to take one blind step after another. And, just like Mary, after her encounter with the angel, each blind step was rewarded with confirmations – a loving parent’s encouraging support for his child’s first shaky steps. With those confirmations, the child can’t wait to walk, run, skip and leap into its new life!

Back to the “fire hose few”. With few exceptions they’ve had the “advantage” of living an empty meaningless life for some time before their lovely shower. They are the spiritually impoverished ones who have won the big “spiritual” jackpot.

I remember stepping out in trembling trust – putting down a 10% deposit to reserve the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds main hall for $3000 for a Michael Obrian concert and then having to weather a storm of “You’ll never fill that place up. You’re crazy. There goes 3 grand!” comments.

But the “Trust” had been planted and sprouted. And bloomed beautifully.(fed by generous consolations!)

We, the “joyful few “have to be very patient, gentle and understanding with the “dry majority”. Each segment requires a different approach/treatment. We’ve been given much and have the great, joyful, urgent (and sometimes difficult) job of sharing it.

Let’s collect all the evidence so far:

Fatima, Portugal. The three children’s testimony predicted the end of WWI, the beginning of WWII during the reign of Pope Pius XI , the spread of Communism from Russia, the assignation attempt on John Paul II, the Miracle of the sun, the sudden drying of the ground and garments of all present on Oct. 13th, 1917.

Lourdes. The apparitions to Bernadette, the spring with its miraculous cures, the confirmation of Mary’s title announced by Pope Pius XII in 1854.

Medjugorje. The 30 plus years of daily apparitions, messages, signs and healings, conversions and vocations.

Kibeho, Africa. The visionaries, signs, predictions which materialized, and conversions.

DNA. The obvious intelligence, simplicity and elegance. Sorry Charles!

With all these weapons in our arsenal, how can we allow ourselves to be dismissed, eliminated or ruled illegal by today’s secular culture?

Let’s take our world back and give it to its/our Creator!

For some of you who were adults during WWII, you may remember that great rallying song:
