Today is August 22nd – The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary

On the 20th I was moved by the following portion of one of Mary’s messages:

“Come through every test from God more open to Him, and come to Him with love.”
(From Alice Mindrum’s “Medjugorje and the Word”)

I didn’t have the energy to write. (still recovering from the trip to the Youth Festival)

Today, I was feeling a lot better. I decided to find the complete message. I looked it up in “Words From Heaven” – Caritas of Birmingham

August 22, 1985 ( ! ) : “Dear children, today I want to tell you that God wants to send you trials which you can overcome by prayer. God is testing you through daily chores. Now pray to peacefully withstand every trial. From everything through which God tests you, come out more open to God and approach Him with love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

(I found the “coincidence” of dates, interesting)

Starving peoples, senseless violence. threatened economic collapse – these are all the necessary “fire” into which we must hold our faith in order to temper it.

Without this fire (and without holding our faith into it), faith remains a limp useless tool.

Wearing “earplugs” won’t keep you from hearing Satan’s question: “Where is your God ?”

But if you start doing your homework on your little personal trials, you will begin to possess a precious jewel/skill. You will begin to perceive God – the hidden benevolent instructor – working behind the scenes, sending you personally crafted lessons.

Then, as you mature in your faith, you will be able to use some of the appropriate chapters in this book to handle large scale trials with confidence.
