If you’re on vacation or would like to find other parishes in your area, MassTimes.org is an excellent online resource to help you find a local Catholic church wherever “local” may be at the time.
I’ve only lived in Western New York for a few years, and I appreciate having this Web site available to help me learn new parts of the area and have the opportunity to visit different churches.
I typed my zip code in the search box and printed out the list of nearby churches. Slowly, I’m making my way through them one by one. The only caution I would give is that not all the times of the Masses are up-to-date, so be sure to call the church or check its actual Web site for the current information. With that in mind, it’s a great way to find the closest Catholic churches when traveling. Heck, I used it to find churches in Prague, Czech Republic, when I was in Europe a little over a year ago.
It’s also a handy resource for finding out when churches offer particular devotions, adoration, and confessions.
If you’ve already tried MassTimes.org, have you found it useful?
