In 1877, in “God’s Grandeur” by Gerald Manley Hopkins, a Catholic convert, we poetically read, “The world is charged with the Grandeur of God.” Dear Reader, To be noble or to be of good moral character, one must have stately visions of God’s Grandeur. For instance, we believe in the Resurrection of the Body and Life Everlasting! Jesus showed us how in His Most Wonder-Filled actual Visions of Grandeur!

In our quest to love our neighbor, such as the firefighter rescues the little child from a burning building, the mother protects the babe from the ferocious dog, the policeman captures the dangerous criminal, the scientist discovers a cure, the young student saves his or her friend from random acts of violence, the lawyer frees the innocent from a lifetime in prison,. . .

. . .(continuing), the father catches the falling babe from a ten-story building, a budding artist creates the great American novel, a music symphony, or a masterpiece, and/or a loving devotee levitates as he or she prays for the souls in purgatory, we all have visions of grandeur throughout our mundane lives, where hours-upon-hours, day-after-day, and year-upon-year, are spent doing the schlocky necessities.

St. Paul echoes, “All die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” Jesus, Dear Reader, who is Our Loving Redeemer, the Lamb of God, is the way to the resurrection of our own bodies. The first Bishop of Rome, St. Peter, echoes, “If you can have some share in the sufferings of Christ, then be glad, because you will enjoy a much greater gladness when His Glory is revealed.” Finally, St. Paul reveals, “It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me.”

In the City of God, St. Augustine teaches, “It is understood that no part of the body shall so perish as to produce deformity of the body. For all bodily beauty consists in the proportion of the parts; together, with a certain agreeableness of color. Where there is no proportion the eye is offended, either because there is something wanting, or too small, or too large. . .

. . . Consequently, there shall be no deformity resulting from want of proportion in that state in which all that is wrong is corrected, and all that is defective supplied from the resources, which the Creator provides. . .

. . . All that is excessive will be removed without destroying the integrity of the substance. In the resurrection of the flesh, the body shall be of that size, which it either had attained or should have attained in the flower of its youth, and shall enjoy the beauty that arises from symmetry and proportion in all its members.”

Dear Reader, Angels and humans are of two primary essences: the ability to know and the ability to love. In our quest to know and to love God, we must, essentially, love Our Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit with all our hearts, minds, and souls. Mary, Our Holy Mother is showering you with graces, not because I have asked her each day in our family Rosary and song, but because she is so in Love with you!

“Come, Holy Ghost, Creater Blest, and in our hearts take up Thy rest. Come with Thy Grace and Heavenly Aid, to fill our hearts, which Thou has made, to fill our hearts, which Thou has made!”

Fr. Gerald carefully continues in his poem of hope! “Nature (human) is never spent, because the Holy Ghost, over the bent world, broods with its warm breast and with ah! Bright Wings!”

Dear Reader, In every little way, within our mundane chores, we can do everything for the Love of God. Accordingly, in this most grand actualvision (sic) of offering ourselves to God, we love our neighbor. Our Blessed Mother is a “Supermodel” for what the Holy Spirit does for us!

The contemplative prayers, where Jesus enjoins the nuns, priest, laity, brothers, and sisters, are the most beneficial acts of love for God and neighbor. If closer in love we arrive to God, then the love for our neighbor is ever heightened. Anyhow, Dear Reader, good religion is our quest to know and to love God; good politics is our quest to know and to love our neighbor. “Always” the twain shall meet!

In the last chapters of the Most Holy Bible, we hear of the August Vision of St. John, “One of the seven angels . . . showed me the holy city . . . it gleamed with the Splendour of God . . . the foundations of the city wall were decorated with every precious stone . . . the twelve gates were twelve pearls . . . the street of the city was of pure gold, transparent as glass . . . the river of life-giving water, sparking like crystal, flowing from the Throne of God and of the Lamb . . . Come, Lord Jesus!”

Back in the 1950s and 60s, beatniks and hippies have sought out familiar-like groups who would congregate or “be-in” for somewhat concurring themes, such as personal empowerment, multi-cultural acceptance, and political decentralization. The children and grand children of these same beatniks and hippies now populate the occupy-movement (OM) that we see today in our major US cities around our country.

However, these chaotic OM have distinct differences than did the human be-ins. The participants of the OM are trying to thrust communist-socialist change, non-multicultural acceptance, and political centralization, where our crowned elective life-long leaders are the dictators of all aspects of our lives, in our towns, in our neighborhoods, and in our homes.

For the most part, the beatniks and the hippies wanted to be left alone; they were in search of peace, love, and happiness. Albeit, their actions were very misguided! On January 14, 1967, the most famous human be-in occurred in San Francisco. Nevertheless, this event did spotlight the increasing polarization of the participants.

On the one hand, you had the visibly and honest-to-goodness peaceful sit-ins, and on the other-side, you had the visibly honest-to-no-good radical violence. Anyhow, the entire present-day OM is too dishonest and deceptive to clarify; violence is visibly bristling!

About 30,000 people participated in the human be-in in San Francisco; whereas, about a few hundred to a few thousand people participate in the OM each time one is ongoing. Meanwhile, there is active condoning media coverage of these OM, where few participants are visibly honest-to-good. Demonstratively, it seems that the OM is very confused!

Conversely, on August 16, 2011, more than two million young Catholic and some non-catholic people participated in the 13th World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain in search of True Peace, True Love, and True Happiness! Television coverage from the three to six big national NEWS stations was very, very minimal at best.

Not even a scrolling-marquee could be seen crossing neither the TV screens nor even an utterance or blurb from a TV anchor mentioned this Holy and Catholic Be-In! Could it be because these participants were visibly honest-to-goodness good, and NEWS coverage of Catholics could never be portrayed as good?

Nonetheless, these Catholic young men and woman, formed long-lines to receive both of the two most Holy Sacraments: Holy Reconciliation and The Most Holy Eucharist! In addition, they and others peacefully and prayerfully marched together on the Via Crucis, the Way of the Holy Cross, and they participated in a wonder-filled sit-in and/or kneel-in at the Eucharistic Adoration! Throughout this weeklong movement, their devotion to the Most Holy Mary was honest-to-goodness visible!

Dear Reader, Jesus, Our Lord and Saviour, teaches us that if we eat His Sacred Body and drink His Precious Blood, then we abide in Him, and He abides in us! He will “Be-In” us, and we shall Be-In Him!

The beatniks and the hippies were all somewhat searching for the Truth. And that endeavor is always a good thing! This is the good reason that Jesus gives us the Holy Catholic Church because our finite minds and thinking could never grasp the full Understanding of His Infinite Teachings. The occupeas (sic) are demanding, and they are not searching at all!

The human be-ins and OM have never and will never prevail because they never invoke the Holy Spirit, Our Supernatural Advocate! And yes, the Catholic Church has had, is having, and will have many, many detrimental spiritual and temporal impediments and misfortunes, but the gates of hell, Good Jesus teaches, shall never prevail against Her!

If you need some morsel of understanding, or worse, relief from unreasonable doubt, Dear Reader, then you need to go to Our Blessed Mother! Remember, O Most Gracious Virgin Mary, that never has it been known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided!

Dearest Jesus, You have given us Bread from Heaven, having all Sweetness within It! Merciful Jesus, let me “Be-In” you! The Psalmist says it best, Sweetest Jesus, “Your Words, O Lord, are sweeter than honey in my mouth!”

This is a story about “La Familia.” If someone were to go back in history to search the genealogy for his or her family tree, then he or she may be in for a painstaking serendipity and become implanted with tons of homework! For instance, every child has two parents, a father and a mother. Now, granted, not every father and mother is parental, but still, every child has two parents.

Continuing, if my mother and father each have two parents, whom they do, then their parents have two parents as well. That means that I would possess eight great-grandparents. Following this further, I have 16 great-great-grandparents, 32 great-great-great-grandparents, 64 great-great-great-great grandparents, 128 great-great-great-great-great grandparents, and so on. Whew!

Dear Reader, by the time I got so far back in history, then I would have far greater multi-great grandparents than the population of the Earth at that time; hmmm, this is very mysterious, no! Therefore, one could never do an accurate and complete family tree. Tracing these roots, I have not begun to consider the children of these multi-great grandparents in this coppice at all. Wow!

Dear Reader, This story is about “La Familia” de James Cavanaugh Sr. (all surnames are omitted in this story). Going forward in a family tree is much simpler to do! James Cavanaugh Sr. (JC) was born on June 19, 1926. His mother, Helen Cecilia (RIP), a cradle-Catholic, and his father, Thomas Martin (RIP), a converted-Catholic, are good old-fashion parents! Together they have two boys and two girls. JC is their second son.

Anyway, Dear Reader, The incantation, “Alleluia” intimates to praise God! “Allelu” signifies “Praise” and the ending polysyllable, “IA,” professes God. Alleluia, “Praise God!” Following this further, the word, “Familia” is a Latin word that means servants of a household.

In the Spanish language, also, “La Familia” means, “the family.” With the ideal ending-annunciation, “IA,” La Familia contains servants of a household who praise and worship the Most Holy and Undivided Trinity!

From the beginning of the Holy Catholic Church, believers and their whole household wanted their families to be saved through mutual love and service towards Our Resurrected Jesus. They sought out the Holy Apostles and their disciples to become baptized in both water and the Holy Spirit!

In our post-modern world, often hostile to the Catholic Faith, families are extremely important centers of living out the Catholic Faith. Catholic families are the Domestic Churches, in which the good-parents are the first heralds of Catholic Faith.

Moreover, in the home, the father, the mother, and the children freely exercise their baptismal Catholic priesthood in a privileged way. The home is the first school of the Catholic Faith where all learn and practice the three most vital aspects of being a Child of God: love, forgiveness, and prayerful worship. To teach or to catechize the Holy Catholic Faith is to “echo” the Truth!

Anyway, Dear Reader, This is a short story about La Familia of JC. At 4 a.m., on March 28, 1979, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, the Three Mile Island Nuclear (TMI) accident occurred. It was and still is the worst nuclear commercial power plant accident in US history. Matter of fact, the man whose leadership and supervision produced the construction of the concrete containment buildings surrounding each of the nuclear reactors was JC (Civil Engineer).

Once upon a time, there was a prayerful, pretty young lady named, Loretta Martha. Loretta (Homemaker/Nurse) grew up to be an outstanding yet humble Catholic woman. She married a very smart and prayerful man named JC. The name, Loretta Martha, contains 13 letters of the alphabet. Loretta Martha & JC have 13 dedicated children! Loretta has 12 brother and sisters. James (RIP) and Mary (RIP) are her good Catholic parents.

Some would say that Loretta was a faithful Catholic, who did not believe in birth control, and that is why she had so many children. However, Loretta would correct them by graciously indicating that she believed in Catholic birth control – good birth control. Anyway, she wanted as many babies as God would allow her to conceive! Naturally, the joy of rocking a newborn baby is a supernormal event!

Anyway, Dear Reader, the first child, James Cavanaugh Jr. (Business), is named after JC. Timothy Paul Sr. (Construction) is the second son. His second son, Conor Wood, is the second son of the second son of a second son! While Timothy Paul Sr. is the second child, Timothy Paul Jr., his first son, is the second grandchild of amiable Loretta & JC. Timothy Paul Sr. also has a third son named Shane Christopher (RIP). Timothy Paul Sr. married Christine.

Stephen Joseph (Construction) is the third child of delightful Loretta & JC. Peter Thomas (Construction) is their fourth child. His son, Peter James, is the first grandchild of marvelous Loretta & JC. While Peter Thomas was born in the fifth month of the year, Peter James was born on the fifth day of a month. Peter Thomas married Valencia, and later, Tracy, who has two daughters named, Lindsay and Ashley.

The fifth child of lovely Loretta & JC is Daniel John (Firefighter/EMT). He was born on the fifth of July. Francis Nicholas (Civil Engineer) is the sixth child, and his son, Benjamin Francis, is the sixth grandson of enchanting Loretta & JC.

Eugene Anthony (Homemaker/Educator), is the seventh son of JC & graceful Loretta. He has six older siblings and six younger ones. His first daughter, Shanee Renee, and her cousin Shane Christopher, were born on the same day of the month.

His second child, Loretta Maria, was born on the same day of JC & Loretta’s second child. Both JC and the seventh son have had a new child named, Loretta, at the same age, 38.

Sunshine-running Shanee Renee is the third granddaughter, and lovely little Loretta Maria is the fourth. Loretta Maria was named after her daddy’s enchanting earthly mother and Our Most Loving Heavenly Mother! Eugene A. married beautiful Nadia who already has a child named, Vincent (US Navy).

Andrew Charles (Landscaping) is the eighth son of radiant Loretta & JC. His son, Andrew James, is the fourth grandchild. Andrew Charles and Andrew James were both born on the same day of the month. Andrew Charles married Kim.

Anne Marie (Homemaker), the first daughter, and Joseph Edward (Construction), the last son, are twins, and they share the same birthday;) Anne Marie, the ninth child, has two sons, Keith Lyons and Karl McKee. Keith Lyons is the ninth grandchild, and Karl McKee is the thirteenth. Anne Marie married Brian, who has a son named Daniel.

Loretta Martha II (Homemaker/Nurse) is the second daughter of JC & sweet Loretta. She has two daughters named, Julie Caitlin and Karen Christine, and a son named, Edward Thomas IV.

Precious Julie Caitlin is the first granddaughter, and darling Karen Christine is the second. Edward Thomas IV is the fourteenth and last grandchild of fascinating Loretta & JC, to date. Edward Thomas IV shares his birthday with his grandmother. Loretta Martha II married Charles, and later, Edward III.

Note: All three wonder-filled Loretta’s of La Familia are second-daughters in their respective domestic-families!

Molly May (Homemaker/Horticulture), born in the month of May, is the twelfth child and third daughter of JC and resplendent Loretta. She has a son named, Errol James. He is the eighth grandson. Molly May married Errol.

Finally, Rebecca Mary (Educator) is the thirteenth child! Rebecca has twelve brothers and sisters older than her, and she has fourteen facinating nieces and nephews younger than her. JC & elegant Loretta do not have any great-grandchildren, yet!

Married on April 12 1947, engaging Loretta & JC had two sons at the end of that decade, five more sons in the 1950s, two more sons and three daughters in the 1960s, and finally, one more daughter in the 1970s. All the very interesting grandchildren of the Loretta & JC were born in the latter part of the 20th century.

Continuing, Dear Reader, the awful and horrific consequences of the Fukushima (2011) and the Chernobyl (1986) nuclear power plant disasters are still ongoing. Those two nuclear power plants did not possess the concrete containment buildings for their reactors. The human casualty rate is still climbing for both catastrophes. The flora and fauna will be greatly depressed for years to come.

Conversely, the TMI meltdown caused no significant environmental degradation or increased injury to any person. Not even the plant operators, who stayed on duty, were adversely affected! It has been said that this “lack” of detrimental public and environmental impact was due primarily to the concrete containment structures that were built to secure and to protect life from any nuclear accident! Meanwhile, the flora and fauna continue to flourish and thrive in and around TMI.

Not to be lost, Dear Reader, single persons, who are often not married by the differing branching of circumstances, are also very, very dear to Our Saviour Jesus, Holy Mary, and St. Joseph, who are The Holy Family! Indeed, good Catholic families have opened their doors to single persons throughout history.

Forever, the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the Sacred Home, “La Santa Familia,” for everyone! Viva La Familia! And ever, long live the Domestic Catholic Church of the loving, forgiving, and prayerful Loretta & JC and all their relatives and descendants!

May the souls of Loretta Martha (2004) and James Cavanaugh (2011), and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, Rest in God’s Peace. Amen!

When a lady ceases to be able to blush, then all her beauty is lost. When a gentleman fails to recognize a blushing lady, then he ceases to be able to see true beauty. Chastity, Dear Reader, is a resplendent-virtue. Shamefulness is our safeguard for chastity. We are all created by God to be chaste-like! True Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder, who is Jesus!

Catholic Morality, Dear Reader, prescribes the right order of relations between a gentleman and a lady. In our Catholic Catechism, it states, “The chaste person maintains the integrity of the powers of life and love placed in him or her. This integrity ensures the unity of the person; it is opposed to any behavior that would impair it. It tolerates neither a double life nor duplicity in speech.”

The Holy Images and Icons of Our Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph exemplify and model, superlatively, what it means to be chaste-like in, and among other good things, appearance! Our bodies are, indeed, created to participate in the Divine Will of God to love, to be fruitful, and to multiply! However, we are to do it with Chastity, which is sacramental and not without prudence.

In our post-modern third millennium, many “porn-o-ugly-graphic” images and language are now shamelessly in primetime. They are cemented into advertisements, programming, movies, and our NEWS, etc., on radios, TVs, Internet pages, and theaters, etc. O Jesus, help us!

Now, many young ladies and gentlemen today see no shamefacedness and feel no compunction in this vicious proliferation. Many have never blushed! And, if some are, then they go unnoticed! Is it because many adults are dressing-up like clownish hollywood-star-harlots with the trappings of scantly clad celebrity-costumes far from any notion of beauty? Our children and young adults can see this, emulate this, and are immune to the adult-drooling over this apotheosis of evil!

In the USA, the divorce rate is reaching 50%. Almost one child in every three children lives in some description of what we refer to as a broken family. Every year, somewhere in our country, some 800,000 children are cruelly killed or frenetically go missing for some horrible reason and/or another! Many other precious children, missing and/or killed, go unreported! Since 1973, some 50 million unborn baby girls and unborn baby boys, in our country alone, have been viciously aborted! O Mother of God, help us!

Dear Reader, If you had a million dollars in a suitcase, then would you let your child go prancing around the neighborhood and streets alone? Indeed, not! Then, why are we sending them alone without the suitcase? Are our children more precious than a bag of money?

For the life of me, I see that almost most of us cannot keep a simple vow of “I do till death do we part.” But, come-on, we need to watch our children, teach them the buddy-system, and for goodness sakes, demonstrate chastity! Jesus teaches us by sending out His disciples by “pairs!”

The buddy-system is a valuable tool to keep our children and young adults safeguarded, and it propagates Chastity! We are all easily tempted by curiosity and/or malfeasance. We are all sinners!

Therefore, it is so very important in our post-modern world to freely institute, with our families and friends, a temporary guardianship such as a companion, chaperon, scout, usher, and or protector for our children and young adults each and every time that they travel anywhere in our world, even down the street! The pairs must stay together like peanut butter and jelly!

Anyway, Dear Reader, many misguided learning-programs in our schools are trying to combat the desecration of the human-person, teenage pregnancies, and sexual transmitted diseases by teaching “Abstinence.” Abstinence indicates fasting from overindulgence, which is a good thing; however, Chastity is a superlative virtue; Chastity teaches love!

Chastity is the virtue that empowers the human being beyond all vain thoughts of lust and appearances. Chastity demonstrates great intelligence, maturity, and common sense. Chastity propagates good personhood and true love. Chastity teaches about the true beautifulness and awe-filled wonder of our bodies and souls! We are not animals; we are human beings!

Necessarily, Chastity may be an invitation that seems a bit stern and austere for our third millennium, but it takes good discipline to be a true disciple of Jesus. Moreover, His Way is wide and easy for those who love Him! If an Angel of God pierces someone’s heart with love, then we can tell because his or her hands and feet follow freely; they are doing good virtuous works.

Every good, earthly, and holy marriage prefigures the ineffable union of Christ with His Spotless Spouse, His Mystical Catholic Church. The Nuptials of Jesus and His Bride are Supernaturally Perfect! Holy Matrimony is a chaste-like union, in which fidelity and love are mutually put into action.

This ardor love has borne its fruit in beautifying the world over, with models of exotic, fascinating, magnificent, alluring, glamorous, and marvelous conjugal chastity through out the ages! Beauty is seen, so to speak, not by our human senses, but by the discernment of our spiritual eyes and ears. O beautiful for us is the blushing bride and the ever-attentive groom! Chastity is pure, and it is simple, with the Grace of a Dove!

Certainly, the most famous ancient lighthouse was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world at Alexandria, Egypt. The Pharos light was built, under the orders of Ptolemy, in 290 BC. This shining lamp, a 384 foot structure, which used a burning fire at night and mirrors during the day for illumination, survived for over 1,500 years.

In 1326 AD, this lighthouse was destroyed by an earthquake. In America, the first lighthouse was built in 1715 on Little Brewster Island in Boston Harbor. Destroyed in 1776 by the British, it was rebuilt in 1783. Willingly destroying a lighthouse is an egregious offense!

Since the years Before Christ (BC), the penalty for destroying a lighthouse could be very severe, and rightly so, since a lighthouse lights the way for sailors and passengers from hidden dangers, and many times, certain death. Dear Reader, The light emitting from lighthouses has been guarding and guiding sailors from rugged coastlines and underwater reefs around our planet since the dawn of seafaring-BC.

Dear Reader, John the Baptist was the flaming voice crying in the desert to guide others to repent for the Coming of the Messiah. John the Baptist was liken to a burning fire to guard, all those who would listen, from the disguised wiles and shadowy snares of the devil.

The Baptisms of John opened the eyes and ears of the spiritual blind and deaf! Those who heeded John’s warnings and repented could, thereafter, see Jesus as the Messiah! The Words of Jesus melted their hearts!

On our Catholic Calendar, we celebrate three Nativities: King Jesus (Christmas), Queen Mary (September 8), and Saint John the Baptist (June 24). The reason that we memoralize these three Nativities is because all three were “born” without original sin.

Jesus, Our King & Our Savior, could never allow sin to touch Him. He destroys all sins; therefore, it would be impossible for sin to ever exist where He Reigns. Queen Mary was conceived and born without sin, and since Jesus lived in her womb, sin could never touch her, nor could sin exist in her. She is the Mother of God!

After the three Nativities, Jesus, Mary, and John committed not one sin! How was John the Baptist able to be “born” without original sin? Sacred Scripture tells us the words of the Angel who spoke to Zechariah about his future son (John the Baptist). “…he will be great before the Lord…and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.”

When Mary heard of the pregnancy of Elizabeth, she went “in haste.” She went without hesitation to be present prior to John’s birth! Jesus said of John, no one “born” of a woman is greater than he. Mary intercedes for John the Baptist at the Visitation!

John the Baptist was filled with the Holy Spirit even before he was born, when he was a child in his mother Elizabeth’s womb. This is the Second Joyful Mystery of the Most Holy Rosary. When was John the Baptist filled with the Holy Spirit? When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit!

When Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, so too, was the child within her womb filled with the Holy Spirit. At that time, the Child Jesus, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, frees the child, John, in the womb of Elizabeth, from his original sin. Thus, it was through Jesus, present in the Virgin Mary’s womb, that the Holy Spirit was sent upon Elizabeth and upon John the Baptist!

In light of the fact that we celebrate the Holy Conception of Jesus on March 25, The Annunciation, which is the First Joyful Mystery of the Most Holy Rosary, exactly nine months prior to Christmas, it is easy to see that, nine months prior to her birthday, we celebrate the conception of Mary on December 8, the Immaculate Conception! Following this further, we do not celebrate the conception of John the Baptist because he was conceived “with” original sin, but we do honor his nativity!

Dear Reader, to be sure, the despicable herod was the one who had John’s head delivered on a silver platter. Additionally, this was the evil-tyrant to whom Jesus never spoke to during His Passion and Trials. Finally, Jesus answered caiaphas’ queries truthfully, Jesus spoke to pontius pilate with sincere honestly, but to the retched herod, Jesus would not utter one word, not even one syllable! Herod destroyed a Holy Lighthouse; he extinguished a holy illumination.

Jesus teaches us that John testified to the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth! “He was a burning and shining lamp.” What were the consequences for snuffing out this incorruptible glowing lamp? Well, Dear Reader, at a designated time, when the diabolical king herod put on his royal robes, took the seat upon his throne, made an oration, and permitted the people to shout that he was a god and not a man, immediately an Angel of the Lord smote him, and poor herod was eaten by worms and died.

Assuredly, Dear Reader, if John the Baptist was “filled” with the Holy Spirit at the moment of his birth; then there was never any room for “darkness” to reside in him, while he lived on Earth! Marvelously, his immortal words are echoed at each and every Holy Catholic Mass, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world!”

Dear Reader, this is a postscript (PS) to my Volume III of “A Hail Mary pass – for all Catholics not fully practicing their faith.” Volume IV is coming – stay-tuned!

In 2012, Good Friday will be the day of the full moon. Each and every year, the Catholic Church sets the date of Easter for the whole world. Easter, the first Sunday following the first full moon that occurs after the spring equinox is the most glorious and most incredible day when we celebrate the Anniversary of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

Anyway, in the Holy Gospels, we hear about the darkening of the Earth, on that Good Friday, from about noon till three o’clock in the afternoon. Furthermore, in the Acts of the Apostles, the Apostle Peter mentions in the context of a prophecy from Joel that, “the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood.”

The “blood” moon refers to the reddish color of the moon when it is in an eclipse. The three hours of darkness, during the Crucifixion of Jesus, is a super-miraculous event because a solar eclipse does not last but a few minutes. And, a solar eclipse never occurs during a full moon/lunar eclipse, which is what Peter is describing.

Anyway, that First Good Friday mirrors our Good Friday 2012 because a full moon is set to occur. In addition, Good Friday 2012 is the First Friday of the month, which is dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Continuing, Good Friday 2012, like all Good Fridays since the reign of Pope John Paul II, begins the Divine Mercy Novena.

Dear Reader, in His promise to us, through St. Faustina, Jesus vows that everyone, who prays the Divine Mercy Chaplet beginning on Good Friday and completing it on the Saturday, in the Octave of Easter, goes to the Sacrament of Reconciliation with a truly contrite heart, and then, receives the Most Blessed Sacrament on the Divine Mercy Sunday (April 15) will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment!

On June 29, 2002, the Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy See promulgated a decree creating new indulgences that may be gained by the faithful in connection with the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. In addition, by this Divine Mercy Novena, Jesus will grant every possible Grace to souls, especially to the sick and dying! Three o’clock is the Hour of the Divine Mercy of Jesus! The Divine Mercy Chaplet takes about 15 minutes to pray!

Dear Reader, I continue to echo; may I be likened to a glow-in-the-darkness Rosary!

PPS: The Fifteen Promises of the Virgin Mary to those who recite the Rosary:

1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive Signal Graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God. It will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things.
5. The soul, which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying him or herself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him or her in His Justice. He or she shall not perish by an unprovided death. If he or she be just, then he or she shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the Plentitude of His Graces. At the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of Glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Luna, our moon, is desolate, void of life, and on its own, unhabitable. When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon on July 20, 1969, he never touch the moon’s surface with his bare feet. In reality, he was standing on the material of his spacesuit, which was created on Earth. If he had walked on the moon with his bare feet, then he would have been in big trouble!

Anyway, Dear Reader, an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) is a phenomenon in the air that we cannot identify. Both UFO enthusiasts, who believe in alien beings from distant planets, and the UFO skeptics, who think that UFOs are not real, are both misguided. The skeptics will have us believe that UFOs are illusions. The eyes are playing tricks. Perhaps sometimes these UFOs are illusions; this may be true, but certainly not always.

The UFO enthusiasts will have us believe in the nonsense of some alien-creatures that can fly spaceships throughout the galaxies. Neither group will cite the Ancient text and Holy Scriptures, which are full of descriptions of beings that are not human, and most times, they are unidentifiable (UFOs). We call them, Angels and demons.

Why do we not hear about Angels and demons on these so-called UFO reality-programs? There exist volumes of eyewitness accounts of Angels and demons throughout history leading up to our postmodern times. Nevertheless, the UFO enthusiasts and the skeptics fail to utter a word about them.

Angels and demons can appear in many shapes, sizes, and forms. They are real. The laws of nature and the laws of physics do not bind Angels and demons. Moreover, in outer space, we have yet to discover one blade of grass, one drop of free-flowing drinking water, or even one footprint of an alien being. By the way, Angels and demons do not normally leave physical evidence behind.

Consequently, the demons want you to believe in this UFO phenomena because, when our minds are entirely filled with nonsense, then we are not thinking about The Most Holy and Undivided Trinity. If UFOs were Angels, then you would know because something heavenly occurred!

If UFO enthusiasts, who on most occasions believe also in the survival of the fittest, were correct, then why are we not slaves of some vastly more intelligent species? In addition, these UFO occupants must be able to travel as fast as the speed of light or beyond. Alpha A & B and Proxima Centauri, the closest three stars to our star, Sol the sun, are about four light years away. Their theoretical planets are empty of alien-being life.

On Earth, no one has ever located one-inkling of a metal screw or mechanical device from an alien ship that is said to have visited us. If someone did, then it would be bigger NEWS than Neil’s first-step. The kid-art found on ancient caves and walls are someone’s wonderful imagination and/or depictions of Angels or demons. The so-called metallic disks seen in the sky are cloud formations, weather balloons, and other natural flying objects. Or, some of them may well be an Angel or a demon.

The giant ground drawings etched across desert floors throughout the Americas are nothing more than evidence of groups of people working together biding their time on Earth. What would you be doing if electrical power were non-existent? Anyway, Dear Reader, ancient people were surveyors, architects, engineers, and they knew how to build gigantic structures. It does not take a rocket-scientist to realize that!

Dear Reader, I believe also in the survival of the fittest! Who are the fittest? Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth. The Angel of the Lord (Father) appeared unto Mary, and she was conceived by the Holy Spirit! O Jesus, Meek and Humble of Heart, make my heart like Your Heart!

Thy Will be done (Father) on Earth as it is in Heaven, not on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or, Pluto, etc., nor even on planet, Gliese 581g, but on Earth, just as Mr. Armstrong was doing when he was exploring, discovering, and walking on Luna by means of his astro-boots, which were made from the material and from the know-how found only on Earth!

Mary, Queen of the Angels, help me to love Jesus with all my strength!

Angel of God, my Guardian Dear, to whom God’s Love commits us here . . .!

At the conclusion of Washington Irving’s Rip Van Winkle, it says, “Then, worn and weary, at last laid down for his locks were white and his limbs were sore, and Rip Van Winkle will wake no more.” Dear Reader, I wonder if someone engraved the acronym, RIP, on Mr. Van Winkle’s headstone?

Why, Dear Reader, do we hear Jesus, in one incident, teach, “Do not weep any longer, for she is not dead, but sleeping.” In addition, at another time and place, we hear Jesus teach, “Let the dead bury their dead.” to the would-be followers?

Anyway, Rip’s three bearded companions, one with bushy hair, another with a big head, and the third with a humongous nose, played ninepins until their hearts desired. He drank liberally with them from the liquor-filled flagons, and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep to the world for many, many years.

Like Rip van Winkle, have we too fallen asleep at the flagon, so to speak? Do we languish in front of the internet or idiot-box (TV) for hours-on-end, day-after-day, month-by-month, year-to-year watching golf, bowling (Rip’s nine-pins), baseball, soccer, soap operas, sit-coms, 24/7 newscasts, and football, etc? Have these pastimes become like slivering snakes reigning over our lives?

Is there any hint of common sense in our lives concerning the Hereafter, Eternity? Will we be sleeping in God’s Peace, or will we be eternally fermenting in death; the dead buried by the dead? Because sometimes we are so blind struggling through the day, we have forgotten about the Presence of King Jesus and Queen Mary.

Yes, we must allow our bows to relax sometimes, so to speak, to allow our quivers to shoot with precision. It is just fine when we partake in good humor and good entertainment, but enough is enough, moderation is wanting! Our bows (souls) have become warped; our arrows (prayers) are dulled. We have lost the ability to thwart our snakes.

Dear Reader, Each and every one of us has a super-opportunity to awaken in Jesus. I have perused many stories about how prisoners find God while serving their sentences. Dear Reader, God is not lost. We are. Like the father of the prodigal son, Our Father, who art in Heaven, is running towards us with open arms.

Dear Reader, Our Catholic Church is in reality the Mystical Body of Christ, with Jesus being the Head, and the faithful people, who are existing on Earth, sleeping in Purgatory, and living in Heaven, are the members of the Body such as the shoulders, arms, fingers, legs, feet, and toes, etc., so to speak. The Apostles being the shoulders, and Mary, Our Blessed Virgin Mother, is the Sweet Neck!

All Heavenly Aid and Graces, from Jesus, pass through this Adorable Neck to the members of the Body. Therefore, each and every salutation and supplication that are made to Jesus, by the members, goes up through Mary! The Holy Spirit is the Heart of the Mystical Body of Christ!

I continue to echo: Jesus tells His Apostles and us that He will always be with us. He is not merely speaking in an omnipresent sense, but in a Real and Actual Presence. He is with us in His Body and Blood, Soul, and Divinity. In other words, He is visibly with us as Truly Human and Truly Divine.

Where, you might ask, can I actually see Him? Follow Mary; look in the New Holy Temple, the Holy Catholic Church. There He is; He is doing the Father’s Business. He is the Most Blessed Sacrament!

Dear Reader, We all fall in Love, sometimes! Love is in the air! Sense it; wake-up now! Listen to Jesus in the whispering silence. Finally, Rest in Peace (RIP) is a Catholic epitaph that has been carved into headstones and prayed at burial rites for many, many centuries. Pray with me, Dear Reader, “May the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, RIP. Amen!”

A woman called out, “Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is tormented by a demon. . .” Continuing in the Holy Scriptures, we hear about a man who knelt down and said, “Lord, have pity on my son, for he is a lunatic and suffers severely. . .”

Why does the woman say have pity on “me” and not her daughter, and yet, the man says have pity on his child and not himself? Dear Reader, one of the most beautiful and human attributes that anyone could possess is to be motherly. It is an attribute that spotlights one’s goodness. Not all women are motherly, and not all men are without it.

To be motherly, one is affectionate, careful, caretaking, comforting, devoted, fond, gentle, kind, loving, maternal, nuturing, protecting, protective, sheltering, suportive, sympathetic, tender, warm, and watchful. A good motherly person is cheerful in times of distress, he or she has much experience with personal wounds and sickness so he or she possesses great empathy for others, and he or she has a great belief in the Supernatural Realm.

In her Diary, St. Faulstina once excalimed to Jesus, “You are my Mother!” In Holy Scripture, Jesus laments, “ . . .how many times I yearned to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings. . .” The Love of Jesus has no boundaries; His Love encompasses all good things! To be motherly is such a good thing. To know someone who is motherly is a Gift from Heaven!

Only by expelling the demon from her daughter, does Jesus show mercy towards the Canaanite mother. Dear Reader, The Super-Motherly Love of The Most Holy and Undivided Trinity is fully manifested to us by means of the creation of Mary and by means of her Eternal Life in and with Jesus Christ!

O my God, my Loving Father, I accept with love and gratitude Your Divine Seal of Protection! Your Divinity encompasses my body and soul for eternity! I bow in humble thanksgiving and offer You my deep love and loyalty!

To You, my Beloved Father, I beg You to protect me and my loved ones with Your Special Seal, and I pledge my life to Your Service forever and ever! I love You, Dearest Heavenly Father, and I console You in these times!

O Eternal Father, I offer You the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, my Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for the sins of the world and for the salvation of all Your children.

Dear Reader, on the Way of the Cross, Jesus turned to the weeping mothers, and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, Do not weep for me; weep instead for yourselves and for your children. . .” Jesus sees the great sorrow that these good motherly women are experiencing. Their overflowing tears are so valuable and precious to Him. Jesus knows how children, especially today, are in great need of motherly tears and affection!

O Jesus, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding, and my will! All that I have and cherish, You have given to me! I surrender it all to be guided by Your Will! Your Grace and Your Love are wealth enough for me! Give me these, O Jesus, and I ask for nothing more! Dearest Jesus, the Psalmist says it best, “Keep me as the apple of Your Eye; hide me in the Shadow of Your Wings!

You see, Dear Reader, the Canaanite mother beseeches Jesus to have pity on “her” and not to have pity on her child because she, the mother, is so, so, so motherly! She experiences the torment and suffering far greater than does her own afflicted child! When Jesus alleviates the child, then of course, the mother’s torment ceases.

Dear Reader, Let us consider how excruciating was the Sorrow of Mary, the Motherly Mother of Jesus, at the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus. How crushing that tribulation must have been for Mary? You see, no one ever suffered as Jesus did! Yet, Mary loves Jesus immeasurably. Besides, there is no woman who is more motherly!

O Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, we need you now more than ever!

Dear Reader, Jesus is a Trouble-Maker! He teaches us, “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished!” In addition, Jesus teaches, “Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.”

My Almighty Jesus caused trouble for satan in the wilderness when Jesus rebuked that scoundrel three times. My Kindred Jesus engendered trouble for the money-changes in the Holy Temple. Sweet Jesus provoked great annoyance to Caiaphas and the Pharisees throughout Israel. The cunning king Herod was so troubled by Little Baby Jesus that his henchmen were sent to murder Him. My Heavenly Jesus mustered headaches for Pilate and the Romans. My Precious Jesus is a Good Trouble-Maker!

O “my” Jesus, You are the Light of the Earth! You are the Flame that touches all souls! Your Mercy and Love knows no bounds! I am not worthy of the Sacrifice that You made by Your Death on the Holy Cross! Yet, I know that Your Love for us is far greater than the love we hold for You!

Grant me, O Jesus, the Gift of Humility so that I am deserving of Your New Kingdom! Fill us with the Holy Spirit so we can march forth and lead Your Army to proclaim the Truth of Your Holy Word, and so we could prepare our brothers and sisters for the Glory of Your Second Coming on Earth!

O Your Majesty, I honour You! I praise You! I offer myself, my sorrow, and my suffering as a gift to You to save souls. I love you, Jesus! Have Mercy on all Your children wherever they may be!!!

My Captivating Jesus elicited great distress even to Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and many of the faithful chosen people leading up to His Birth! My Enthralling Jesus brought to pass anxiety and grief for John the Baptist, Stephen the Deacon, Peter, Paul, and all the Apostles, Disciples, and Early Fathers of the Catholic Church. My Stunning Jesus effected disturbances to the Holy Saints and Courageous Martyrs up to the present times of the Catholic Church! My Beloved Jesus is a Good Trouble-Maker!

My Adorable Jesus kindled sweet-sorrow to Mary by the Annunciation, the Presentation, and the Losing of Jesus, and beyond to the Way of the Cross, the Crucifixion, the Pieta, and the Burial of Jesus! My Super-Hero Jesus also troubled Joseph, prior to his marriage to Mary and during the Flight into Egypt.

Continuing, Dear Reader, the Trouble-Maker, teaches, “From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son, and a son against his father; a mother against her daughter, and a daughter against her mother; a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

Dear Reader, A family that prays together will stay together! A family where Jesus is praised, adored, and loved by the entire household will flourish! A family where Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is honored and venerated by all members will never divide.

A household, where a member is in some type of misguided belief (ism) such as gnosticism, communism, relativism, maoism, buddhism, hinduism, new-age-ism, modern subjective-ism, discordianism, atheism, and/or lukewarm-Christianity-ism etc., and another member is a fervent and devout Catholic lover of Jesus & Mary, will be troublesome.

Dear Reader, We must realize that satan is real. This evil-devil uses us for his own end and purposes. His main purpose is destruction! The destruction of a holy, loving, and joyful family life makes his day. However, just as God gave a young David five stones with which to defeat Goliath, Our Blessed Mother gives us five stones or weapons that we must use to defeat satan.

First, pray a daily Rosary, and let the Rosary be in your hands as a sign to satan that you belong to Mary. Second, fast, refrain from earthly desires, especially, on Wednesdays and Fridays. Through fasting, one can stop wars; one can suspend the natural laws of nature. Please note that Works of Mercy cannot replace fasting. Everyone except the sick and the very young must fast.

Third, read a verse of the Holy Bible everyday. If you cannot go to the daily Holy Mass, then read Holy Scripture in your home. Place the “opened” Holy Bible in a visible and special place in your home so as always to encourage you and others to read it. Fourth, go to receive the Sacrament of Holy Reconciliation monthly. Make peace with God and neighbor!

Fifth, go to receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist as often as you can. Sundays and Holy Days are obligatory, but daily Holy Mass are true acts of our love for the Most Blessed Trinity!

Fasting for one hour prior to the commencement of Holy Mass is still a good and wonderful act! If you are unable to go to Holy Mass as often as you can, then celebrate Holy Mass by watching it on television often. The length of a daily Holy Mass is about equal to a chuckleheaded situational comedy program.

Dear Reader, Do not let satan rule over your heart. Try your very best to allow Jesus to make trouble in your heart, mind, and soul! Do not allow satan, the world, and the flesh to rule your life. Let Jesus Reign! Dearest Heavenly Father, Thank You so much for Jesus, the Good Trouble-Maker!!! I worship You!
